Network Infrastructure Penetration Testing

Network Infrastructure
SECURITY TESTING

Our network & infrastructure testers start by mapping your entire IT environment, identifying all devices, connections, and data flows.

We look at all aspects of your network and infrastructure including switches routers, firewalls, wireless networks and VPNS.  We simulate lateral movement within your network to see how far an attacker could go, identifying the vulnerabilities and demonstrating potential attack paths so you can mitigate risks and stop any breaches! We can conduct testing on-site or remotely to get the results you need.

You will receive a comprehensive report showing both technical details with clear instructions on changes you should make and executive-level insights to strengthen your network’s resilience.

Internal & External Testing

We can help your organisation to understand the different styles of attack, whether it be conducted by a threat actor from inside your network or externally without any privileged user access.

Firewall Testing

We will examine firewall configurations to ensure only authorised traffic is allowed. Misconfigurations or overly permissive rules are identified, reported and prioritised for remediation.

Routers/Switches

Outdated firmware, insecure routing, VLAN hopping risks and weak/default credentials  are extremely common. We exploit these in a controlled manner to demonstrate vulnerabilities.

VPN Assurances

We test VPN configurations and authentication methods for weaknesses that could allow remote access by attackers. Our testers will validate encryption strength and ensure secure tunnelling practices are enforced.

Wireless Network Testing

Wi-Fi networks are scanned for weak encryption, rogue access points, and poor segmentation. Medishield will help you prevent unauthorised devices gaining access.

Servers

Are your servers safe? We will scan and test for missing patches, insecure services, and privilege escalation opportunities. We will expose vulnerabilities to ensure your critical systems cannot be compromised.

Key Benefits of Network Infrastructure Testing

  • Identify Hidden Vulnerabilities – Detect misconfigurations, outdated systems, and security gaps before attackers can exploit them.

  • Simulate Real-World Attacks – Replicate potential threats to show the actual impact of vulnerabilities on your network.

  • Strengthen Access Controls – Evaluate authentication, permissions, and privileged accounts to prevent unauthorized access.

  • Improve Incident Response – Gain insights into how quickly threats can be detected, contained, and mitigated.

  • Support Regulatory Compliance – Ensure adherence to standards such as PCI DSS, GDPR, HIPAA, and ISO 27001.

  • Enhance Overall Cybersecurity Posture – Prioritise remediation efforts, reduce risk, and build a resilient, secure network infrastructure.

Why Cyber Security Matters More Than Ever for Healthcare

According to the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, 116 million individuals were affected by healthcare data breaches in 2023 — a 136% increase from 2022.

Attackers now frequently target network devices, servers, and internal systems to gain unauthorized access or deploy ransomware. With so much patient care and business operations relying on network availability, even a single infrastructure vulnerability can lead to major disruption and serious consequences.
